Ashley Hughes presents in UI Health Nursing Grand Rounds

Ashley Hughes and UIC Nursing’s Pam Gampetro presented a lecture on patient safety in UI Health Nursing Grand Rounds entitled, "Saving Lives: Interprofessional Communication and Teamwork for Patient Care" on Wednesday, Nov. 17.

Objectives:

  1. Describe systems science role in patient safety efforts
  2. Define key team science terms, including communication and psychological safety.
  3. Identify high quality communication practices
  4. Describe strategies to improve team-based communication that will be incorporated into practice.
