Call for Applications: 2026–27 Teaching Recognition Program Award

The Office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs is pleased to announce the 2026–27 Teaching Recognition Program (TRP), UIC’s self-nominated, faculty-administered award recognizing teaching excellence.

The TRP offers a one-time, $1,500 increase to the annual base salary of faculty who have demonstrated excellence in teaching over the past three academic years. Up to 16 faculty will be recognized this cycle.

Eligibility
All tenured, tenure-track, and non-tenure-track faculty with a demonstrated long-term commitment to teaching at UIC are eligible to apply. Applicants must have held a teaching appointment of more than 49% FTE for the past three academic years. A demonstrated long-term commitment is defined as continuous involvement in teaching at UIC during the Fall and Spring semesters of the previous three academic years (2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26).
