Chancellor’s Committee on the Status of Latinos (CCSL) Awards Nominations due March 27, 2024
The Chancellor’s Committee on the Status of Latinos (CCSL) established the CCSL Recognition Awards to acknowledge excellence in and service to the Latinx community at UIC. In order to be eligible, nominees must identify as Latina/o/x and as members of the UIC community, be actively involved with Latinx issues and/or service at UIC, and be role models or mentors to members of the Latinx community.
Up to five recipients will be awarded annually to a faculty member, an academic professional, a civil service employee, a graduate student, and an undergraduate student.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Service to the Latinx community
2. Identify as Latina/o/x and member of UIC community
3. Actively involved with Latinx issues generally and/or within the Latina/o/x community at UIC
4. Role models and/or mentors for the Latinx community
The CCSL Awards nominations are due March 27, 2024. You can nominate yourself, a student, a colleague or peer, your advisee, your professor, or your administrator for these awards. Nominators must submit a brief biography, 2 letters of support, and include the nominee's resume or CV.
