Chicagoland Disabled People of Color Coalition receives award from the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities

The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson awarded Chicagoland Disabled People of Color Coalition with a Community Champion Award for spreading and promoting disability pride the city's ADA 35 Celebration on July 22, 2015 at Malcolm X College. DPOCC set up a table at the celebration where accessible and sensory-friendly pom-poms were made for the Chicago Disability Pride Parade.
