Digital accessibility training for faculty and staff

UIC is undertaking a broad, campus-wide initiative to ensure that all digital content is accessible for all members of our community. The initiative strives to bring the university into compliance with ADA Title II regulations by the federally mandated deadline of April 24, 2026.

All faculty or staff who produce digital content (e.g., websites, emails, social media, video, digital documents or learning materials) are urged to take seriously and participate in this initiative to promote equity, innovation and student success at UIC.

Digital Accessibility Overview Training

All faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to complete UI System's Digital Accessibility Overview training:

• The course URL is https://go.uillinois.edu/digital-accessibility.
• The training takes 30-45 minutes.
• Please note: UI System has recently updated the interface of their Learning Management System, so you may notice a different appearance.

The deadline to complete the training is Wednesday, December 31.

Please put time on your calendar, and that of anyone you support, to complete this training. Participation data will be collected and shared with departments and colleges.
