Engaging Individuals with Disability in the Research Process Survey – Deadline March 3, 2026

NIH Clinical and Translational Science Awards Program invites all who are engaged in research involving Individuals with disabilities and lived experience to complete a survey to inform development of a research toolkit. Please see below and share:

The following survey seeks to inform the development of a toolkit to support individuals with disabilities and lived experience (IDLE).

IDLE include individuals with disabilities themselves, as well as their families, caregivers, direct service providers, and others who live and work with individuals with disabilities.

As context, when we refer to disability, we are referring to all intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as physical disabilities. We are referring to those with both acquired and developmental conditions.

We hope to better understand your experiences with integrating IDLE in the research process (as both participants and collaborators).

By research process, we are referring to all activities associated with conducting a research study, including recruitment, consent, data collection, data analysis, manuscript drafting and submission, and translation.

Please click on the link below to take the survey by end of day March 3, 2026. We appreciate your time and guidance.
