Remembering Mr. Kenneth Morgan

It is with deep sadness that we write to share the news of the passing of Mr. Kenneth L. Morgan.  Ken joined the UIC College of Applied Health Sciences as the director of the Urban Health Program in 2010, where he developed and implemented countless initiatives that advanced student success and professional growth. He cultivated meaningful partnerships with community organizations, helping to establish a robust pipeline of future healthcare professionals. His legacy within the Urban Health Program endures through the profound impact he made on students, colleagues and the communities he so dedicatedly served. Ken began working for the University of Illinois system beginning in 1991 through the University of Illinois Extension Service and then transitioned to the UIC College of Medicine in 2002. During his career, Ken was also served as a community organizer and advocate for many community agencies.

Ken's generous spirit, kindness, and dedication to student success were evident in all that he did. He provided guidance, encouragement and support to countless undergraduate and health professions students throughout their academic journeys. His unwavering commitment to helping others will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.  Our community will deeply miss Ken.

Please keep Ken and his family in your thoughts during this difficult time.
