AHS and World Food Prize Foundation to co-host Inaugural Illinois Youth Institute
Introduction
AHS is partnering with the World Food Prize Foundation to host the inaugural Illinois Youth Institute, a transformative one-day event. Scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, 2026, on the UIC campus, this event will convene high school students from across Illinois to explore the future of food and agriculture through immersive learning and dialogue.
The Illinois Youth Institute is more than a conference—it’s a launchpad for the next generation of changemakers. Through keynote presentations, expert-led roundtables, and hands-on activities, students will engage with pressing global challenges including:
- Food security and equity
- Climate resilience and sustainability
- Agricultural innovation and technology

We are asking for AHS faculty, post doctoral researchers, and staff to help support the event as content experts, presentation judges, and general volunteers.
