Kathy Preissner site principal investigator for new $4.9 million PCORI research award

OT clinical associate professor Kathy Leigh is the site principal investigator of a new four-year, $4.9 million research award from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) for a project titled, "Comparing the Effectiveness of Fatigue Management Programs for People with Multiple Sclerosis."

The study will compare the effect of three modes of delivering the Managing Fatigue course—two telerehabilitation formats (teleconference or internet) and one traditional format (one-on-one, in person) used in clinical practice—on outcomes important to people with multiple sclerosis (i.e., fatigue and its impact on physical, mental, and social function).
