Laura Thorp completes CATE Action Research Scholars Program
Introduction
Laura Thorp successfully completed the Janet Riddle Action Research Scholars Program at the Center for the Advancement of Teaching Excellence (CATE), a year-long program where you engaged in data-informed, reflective teaching practices by developing and implementing an action research project on your teaching and the student learning experience. In her project, she investigated the use of formative feedback paired with feedback as an instructional tool in neuroanatomy, as well as the factors, including growth and fixed mindsets, that motivate students to use formative assessment.
