Liza Papautsky promoted to Associate Professor and awarded tenure

Please congratulate Dr. Liza Papautsky on promotion to Associate professor and award of tenure.

Dr. Papautsky spent years in the research industry using cognitive field research methods to study decision making of professionals (clinicians, military personnel). She transitioned to an academic career at UIC in 2016 starting in the role of Visiting Research Assistant Professor, then transitioning into a tenure-track position. She is a human factors scientist, with research focus patient decision making and patient-provider communication, primarily in cancer spaces. She translates research findings to solutions that support safe and patient-centered care. Working in collaboration with patient advocates, she has served as PI and co-I of efforts funded by NCI, NCCN, and CDC. She teaches in the MS and PhD program in BHIS including a course of Human Factors in Health Informatics.
