New UIC policies for external events where health information and screening/testing may be provided
Introduction
The UIC Office of the Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs has recently published two policies: HA102: Community Health Events Involving CLIA-Waived Tests and HA103: Community Health Events – Screenings and Education on the OVCHA Policy page.
These policies outline the compliance and engagement opportunities needed for types of external events where health information and screening/testing may be provided. While each event is often unique, these references should give a bit more clarity around the different needs associated with the various different ways in which our academic health enterprise may engage with community-focused events.
