Patricia Ann Politano works to improve augmentative communication services and resources in Croatia
Introduction
DHD clinical associate professor Patricia Ann Politano was invited to present at ATACC, a conference brings leading world experts and users of assistive technology (AT) and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), in Zagreb, Croatia. While there Politano engaged in a number of activities including advising on the development of VersaChat, a new Croatian speech-generating device; providing clinical consultations on augmentative communication interventions to service agencies in Zagreb; and ollaborating with UNICEF working in the region and with faculty from the University of Zagreb in Croatia Speech Department.
