Pitch your story for The Conversation

UIC has partnered with The Conversation, a platform that connects academics with the public through articles written for a general audience. The Conversation is a great way to increase research visibility, contribute to vital public discussions, shed light on trending topics, and more. This opportunity is open to students, faculty and staff with an official UIC affiliation.

Things we look for in a pitch:
1. Is the story of interest to a general audience?
2. Is the story timely?
3. Is the author an expert on what they're pitching?
4. Can the angle be covered in 1,000 words or less?
