Publication Alert: Assistive Technology Use among Hispanics
“…our people deserve a fair share and they haven’t gotten it.”
“Marginalized voices: a qualitative exploration of multilevel environmental barriers to assistive technology use among Hispanics” allowed researchers the privilege of amplifying the voices of Hispanics with disabilities and their caregivers. Participants shared their stories, detailing the challenges they faced in navigating the system to obtain assistive technology (AT) services and devices and how such barriers impacted the use of AT. Our participants' experiences added to the diverse tapestry of stories of Hispanics with disabilities and their caregivers.
