💻 Online Asynchronous Courses
June 16 – August 8
DHD 594C – Assistive Technology & Transportation (2 credit hours)
This course explores the use of assistive technology in various transportation settings, including private vehicles, public transit, airplanes, cruise ships, and rideshare services.
July 14 – August 8
DHD 559 – Ergonomics & Safety for Workers with Disabilities (1 credit hour)
This 5-week course highlights key aspects of workplace accommodations, including ergonomic equipment, customized tools, accessible computer workstations, environmental adaptations, and emergency evacuation equipment.
🔧 Hybrid Course (Online + In-person)
June 16 – August 8 (two in person weekend dates June 25-27 & July 30-August 1)
DHD 441 – Adaptive Equipment Design and Fabrication (3 credit hours)
Examine the intersection of design and disability. This course focuses on appropriate design theories, materials, and hands-on projects addressing consumer-based needs.
