Team at CogMoBal Lab Conduct Caregiver Training at Chinatown Community Event
Doctoral students – Rudri Purohit and Swaranka Deshmukh, along with student volunteers from Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy programs, led four-day training workshops for over 300 home healthcare aides at the Chinese American Service League (CASL) in October 2024. These sessions aimed to enhance the caregivers' skills and knowledge, equipping them with practical techniques to improve the quality of care they provided. The training was co-developed by Tanvi Bhatt and Jenica Lee provided an interdisciplinary experience, allowing OT and PT students to apply their skills in a real-world setting.
