Three bachelor’s in rehabilitation sciences students selected for NEXT for AUTISM FELLOWS work-based scholarship program

Rehabilitation sciences undergraduate students Amaya Scott, Nisah Aliyar and Rosemary Shabu have been selected as 2024-25 NEXT for AUTISM FELLOWS work-based scholarship recipients. NEXT for AUTISM FELLOWS is an employment-based scholarship opportunity for students enrolled in a health and human services-related field of study, with an interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals as a direct support professional. As part of the program, the students will work 800 hours in urgently-needed direct support professional roles serving autistic adults in the Chicago area in partnership with community organizations. They will receive funds to assist with tuition as well as professional development and skill-building opportunities that support their growth as inclusive members of our future health and human services workforce.
