Volunteer at New Student Convocation
This year, new student convocation will take place week 1 of the semester and on Wednesday August 28 from 4-6:30pm. College's have been asked to re-imagine our involvement at UIC Convocation and are being offered a specific time (from 4pm - 5pm) for academic college staff, faculty, and leadership to engage with students in a way that meets the needs of your college. We will have a designated table and we would love you to help us manage AHS Trivia, pass out flyers for our AHS Welcome event, and engage with new UIC AHS students.
The full schedule for Convocation is as follows:
4:00pm - 5:00pm - Academic College Engagement Fair
4:45pm - Students and Families transition to Harrison Field
5:00pm - UIC Class of 2028 Photo
5:30/5:45pm - Convocation Remarks (Chancellor, Provost, SA Leadership, Fight Song, Lighting of the Torch)
6:00/6:15pm - Food available for all attendees
