Yolanda Suarez-Balcazar delivers keynote at the Société Inclusive 2019 Summer Institute on Participatory Research Methods
OT professor Yolanda Suarez-Balcazar delivered an invited keynote at the Société Inclusive 2019 Summer Institute on Participatory Research Methods, which was organized by McGill University and took place in the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières à Drummondville.
Suarez-Balcazar discussed conceptual foundations of participatory research and implications for conducting research in collaboration with vulnerable populations. She also discussed principles that guide participatory research, models and a case study designed to address health disparities experienced by Latino immigrant families with youth and young adults with disabilities.
