Bridget Brown featured as a guest blogger on Inside Think College Blog

Co-Operative Career Experience Certificate student Bridget Brown was recently featured as a guest blogger on “Inside Think College Blog,” a nationally-curated blog with personal perspectives in the higher education and I/DD fields.

Bridget and Jordyn Jensen traveled to Washington, D.C., to advocate for greater inclusive opportunities in higher education, employment, and intellectual and developmental disability communities. These included visits to and meetings with staff from U.S. Representatives Sean Casten and Jan Schakowsky, Senators Tammy Duckworth and Richard Durbin, and bi-partisan staff from the House Education and Labor Committee.

Bridget will be starting her second semester with the Co-Op Program this Fall 2022 and has been a dynamic figure in Co-Op’s development and implementation.
