DHD receives $2.7M award from the Administration on Developmental Disabilities, Administration on Community Living

The Department of Disability and Human Development received $2.7 million in federal funding for its Institute on Disability and Human Development (University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disability) from the Administration on Developmental Disabilities, Administration on Community Living for the period of July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2023.

Tamar Heller is the director and Randall Owen is the associate director. The main aims of the UCEDD are to provide  interdisciplinary pre-service preparation, community services, research, and information dissemination with the goals of breaking down barriers for people with disabilities and promoting their inclusion and participation in society.
