Hailee Yoshizaki-Gibbons receives a 2017 Alice J. Dan Dissertation Research Award

DHD doctoral student Hailee Yoshizaki-Gibbons is a recipient of the 2017 Alice J. Dan Dissertation Research Award from The UIC Center for Research on Women and Gender for her research titled, “Institutionalized Women with Dementia: Constructions of Disability, Age, Care, and Confinement”. The award was given to two doctoral students this year.

The annual Dan Dissertation Research Award encourages original and significant research about gender and/or women by UIC doctoral students. Recipients are awarded monetary support to assist with their research.
