Publication available: Deepika Laddu coauthors study in Mayo Clinic Proceedings

PT assistant professor Deepika Laddu is the co-author of a new study titled, “25-Year Physical Activity Trajectories and Development of Subclinical Coronary Artery Disease as Measured by Coronary Artery Calcium” published in Mayo Clinic Proceedings.

Laddu and a team of researchers found that white men who exercise at high levels are 86 percent more likely than people who exercise at low levels to experience a buildup of plaque in the heart arteries by middle age.
