Digital accessibility milestone: Main AHS and Inside AHS website
Introduction
I'm thrilled to share that the main college website and Inside AHS are fully accessible (excluding media library files, which we're currently tackling!). There are accessibility issues endemic to UIC Red (structural, code-based, etc.) that we do not have access to, but we have developed an internal system to identify, report, track progress, and provide support and information to responsible units and offices that can resolve them.
This is a living process, and our efforts will be ongoing. Please join me in thanking Ryan Lemke for leading our accessibility efforts and Heidi Schlehlein for leading our website governance efforts. And thank you to all of our faculty and staff for partnering with us to ensure that our college continues to value and support participation by all.
