Chair Chats with the Chancellor Featuring Magic Johnson
The Office of the Chancellor invites the UIC community to a special Chair Chats event featuring Earvin “Magic” Johnson. Having transitioned from the basketball court to the boardroom, Johnson now leads Magic Johnson Enterprises and is a co‑owner of multiple professional sports teams across the NFL, MLB, WNBA, MLS, NWSL, and eSports.
His investment work focuses on economic empowerment in urban communities through sports, real estate, infrastructure, financial services, and consumer brands—including SodexoMagic, UIC’s dining and food services partner.
Chancellor Marie Lynn Miranda will speak with Johnson about how his college journey continues to influence his success as both an athlete and an executive.
