Upcoming change to web directory resumes/CVs to support accessibility
As part of our college’s ongoing commitment to access and equity, we will remove all PDF resumes and CVs currently linked on individual profiles in the AHS website directory starting Monday, July 28.
While we recognize this may be inconvenient, we are taking this step because the uploaded documents do not meet accessibility standards. As a public institution and one that champions equity in all we do, the materials we share online must be fully accessible to all users, including those who use assistive technologies.
We understand that ensuring documents meet accessibility requirements can feel challenging. To support you in this process, we encourage you to explore the resources below:
In addition, the AHS communications team is planning a live webinar early in the fall semester (recording will be available) on creating accessible documents, including CVs and resumes. We will share details and registration information once the date is finalized.
If you’d like your CV or resume directly linked on your AHS web profile, we encourage you to revise it for accessibility. Once it meets accessibility standards, submit a website support ticket and we’ll add it back to your profile.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we take this important step to align our digital presence with our values. As always, feel free to reach out with any questions.
