Delphine Labbé, DHD professor, and Casey Herman, postdoctoral research associate in DHD, are co-authors on a paper recently published in the Disability and Health Journal. The researchers of ‘“I never really thought that a virtual ride would be that good!”: Experiences of participants with disabilities in online leisure-time physical activity during COVID-19’, collaborated with Adaptive Adventures a community-based organization that offers activities in the Chicago area and around US.
The study found insights on how online leisure-time physical activity (LTPA) can provide physical and emotional health benefits for people with disabilities during the pandemic and beyond.
