Shane Phillips appointed interim occupational therapy head
Introduction
As you may know, we are in the final stages of identifying and selecting the next Department of Occupational Therapy head.
I am grateful to Kelly Tappenden for her leadership as interim head of the department during the past academic year. I also want to thank Kal Pasupathy and members of the search committee for their efforts in identifying four highly qualified candidates.
While the goal was to have the position filled before Kelly’s departure, we were not able to meet that deadline. To that end, I have asked Shane Phillips to serve as interim head of the department, effective July 1, 2023, until the permanent head is approved by the University of Illinois Board of Trustees.
