About

Dr. Bay is a licensed speech-language pathologist who has specialized in the area of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) for over 10 years. She aided in the development of the AAC Center of Excellence and ALS Assistive Technology and Rehabilitation Clinic at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Northwestern Medicine. She earned her doctorate in Disability Studies from UIC. Dr. Bay has presented nationally and internationally on research and clinical issues related to AAC. Her research interests are associated with the social participation of persons who use AAC and AAC implementation strategies.
