Jasmina Sisirak is a researcher with a doctorate in public health/community health from the University of Illinois Chicago. She is a Co-Director of HealthMatters Program, former Associate Director of Training and Dissemination at the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Developmental Disabilities and health (RRTCDD) in the Department of Disability and Human Development (DHD) at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and a Research Assistant Professor, DHD, UIC. Dr. Sisirak has and has written publications and presented papers in the area of disability, health, and nutrition and has co-authored two books entitled Health Matters: The Exercise and Nutrition Health Education Curriculum for People with Developmental Disabilities and Health Matters for People with Developmental Disabilities: Creating a Sustainable Health Promotion Program. Her research interests include implementation science, health promotion, nutrition, health literacy, community-based research, interventions, and curriculum design for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their caregivers.
