Attendees will gain a critical and strength-based framing of disability and neurodivergence. There will be an emphasis on parental coaching and teaming within the context of early intervention. With additional opportunities to practice utilizing this lens within realistic clinical contexts.
Speakers:
Chelsea Wallaert OTD OTR/L
Chelsea is an occupational therapist with professional experience in early intervention, home-based pediatrics, and working with neurodivergent adults throughout the Chicagoland area. She is also a PhD candidate in the Disability Studies Program and an IL LEND trainee alumni from the 2020/2021 program.
Kiya Olson, MA, MS, BCBA, LCPC
Kiya Olson is a seasoned professional with over two decades of dedicated service within the autism and developmental support communities. She began her career in 2003 as a direct ABA therapist, that same year, she also began working within the Illinois Early Intervention Program as a developmental therapist.
