Bo Fernhall appointed dean of the UMass Boston Manning College of Nursing and Health Science

Bo Fernhall, dean of the College of Applied Health Sciences since 2011, has been appointed dean of the UMass Boston Manning College of Nursing and Health Science, effective Aug. 15. He will be professor of exercise health science at UMass.
A national search for a new AHS dean is underway and three finalists have been interviewed. The search committee is co-chaired by Michele Mariscalco, professor of pediatrics, associate dean of the College of Medicine and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Health Science Academic Affairs; and Glen Schumock, professor and dean of the College of Pharmacy.
