About

Dr. Alyssa Jones is a Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC). She earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2012 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, followed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from UIC in 2016. Her dedication to treating individuals with neurologic conditions led her to complete Boston University’s Neurologic Residency Program and attain Board Certification in neurologic specialty practice. She has extensive clinical experience in the acute inpatient rehabilitation setting, specializing in the delivery of gait interventions to individuals with stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, and Parkinson’s disease. Furthermore, her research focuses on integrating technology into clinical practice to enhance assessment and intervention delivery for patients. Currently, she serves as the Chair in the Eastern District of the IPTA and is a member of the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy.
