About

Kelly is a Clinical Assistant Professor within the Biomedical Visualization Graduate program (BVIS) at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Kelly's main responsibilities as part of the faculty involve teaching the 3D modeling courses in the program with a variety of software. This includes Zbrush, 3DS Max, the Substance Suite, Blender3D, Cinema4D, and more. It is their mission to always keep an eye on the must cutting-edge and efficient ways to develop complex 3D medical visualizations, often taking inspiration from cinema and game development and applying it to the medical field.

Prior to teaching, Kelly served as a multimedia technologist within the realm of medical communications for pharmaceutical companies, where they created animations, 3D models, and other visual material to educate doctors on disease states and drug mechanisms of action. They have also served as a research chair and committee member on several Masters student projects.
