Strategic Planning Dashboard

Advancing student success, research, innovation and community impact.

The UIC College of Applied Health Sciences enters the next five years with clarity of direction, renewed purpose and a commitment to excellence that reflects the university’s priorities and the college's mission to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities.

The 2030 Strategic Plan, shaped by seven faculty/staff working groups and anchored in the dean’s Optimize, Modernize and Greater Diversity (OMG) framework, offers a focused roadmap to elevate AHS’s academic programs, research enterprise, clinical impact, student success, financial stability and institutional identity.

Over 700 combined years of experience informed the plan, which emerged from months of retreats, facilitated visioning and collaborative development. It also recognizes a core truth voiced across departments: AHS is a hidden gem, and becoming more visible is essential to fulfilling its mission.

Our strategic priorities fall into three pillars: optimize, modernize and create greater diversity. We aim to optimize our academic programs, research operations and financial stability to drive sustainable growth; modernize our clinics and learning spaces with radical accessibility, paired with a modern learning environment; and create greater diversity by fostering an inclusive culture through branded forums and expanded global engagement initiatives.
