About

Matt Gauthier, PT, DPT, SCS is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and ABPTS Sports Certified Specialist. Matt received his undergraduate degree from Purdue University in 2009, and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Indiana University in 2012. Following graduation, he earned his Board Certification in Sports Physical Therapy in 2015. He is the director of the UIC Sports Physical Therapy Residency program, and is a member of the UIC Physical Therapy Faculty Practice. He is also faculty in the UIC DPT program, in which he teaches Applied Kinesiology as well as the Sports Physical Therapy Elective. His research interests include athlete workload, return-to-sport testing of the upper extremity, biomechanics of the overhead athlete, and upper extremity physical performance tests.
