About
Emily Horowitz is a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Disability and Human Development at the University of Illinois Chicago. She received her PhD in Disability Studies with a concentration in Gender and Women's Studies. Her research draws together disability studies, feminist theory, and qualitative research. In both research and teaching, she is interested in exploring how disability studies and disability community values such as care, access, and centering lived experience can shape scholarly engagement.
