About

Robin Jones has served as Director of the Great Lakes ADA Center since its inception in 1991. The Center is a member of the ADA National Network. Robin is actively involved in providing training, consultation and technical assistance on the ADA and related laws to business, employers, government, educational entities, architects, social service organizations and people with disabilities/ families. Areas of expertise include employment, architectural accessibility, community integration, educational accommodations and accessibility of information technology.

Prior professional experiences included working as a senior occupational therapy assistant at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and as Assistant to the Head within the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Robin has academic degrees in the field of Occupational Therapy and Public Administration.

Robin teaches courses within DHD that explore the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as well as how participatory action research can be used to impact of state/federal policy affecting persons with disabilities.
