About

Dr. Oddo's research examines the social determinants of nutrition-related health, with a focus on employment conditions, food and nutrition insecurity, and their intersections with chronic disease risk. Her work bridges domestic and global public health, using big data, natural experiments, and policy evaluation methods to understand how structural conditions shape dietary and metabolic outcomes. She currently serves as Co-Investigator on multiple NIH-funded studies and the Bloomberg Philanthropies-funded evaluation of U.S. food policies, which includes large-scale evaluations of state and municipal nutrition policies, sweetened beverage taxation, and SNAP incentive programs.
