About
Oliver Rivera PT, DPT, OCS, SCS, FAAOMPT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedics and Sports Physical Therapy, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic and Manual Physical Therapists. Oliver received his undergraduate degree in 2012 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017 at Touro University Nevada. He then completed an orthopaedic physical therapy residency at the University of Illinois Chicago in 2018, and the Northwestern University Fellowship in Advanced Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Practice, Research, and Education in 2021.
Primarily working in the outpatient setting, he has worked with a variety of patients with orthopedic, sports, and neurological conditions across the age spectrum including able-bodied and adaptive athletes. His clinical and research interests include return to sport and sport performance, adaptive sport, and hypoalgesia associated with exercise and manual therapy. Oliver provides patient care and serves as a clinical mentor for the UIC Orthopaedic Residency at the Faculty Practice.
