About
Dr. Wescott teaches coursework related to interprofessionalism in healthcare, evidence-based practice, and adaptive skill-building for college transitions. Her work at UIC is guided by her passion for student success and wellbeing, with a focus on instructional and community-level approaches that facilitate engagement, equity, and the co-creation of meaningful, integrative learning experiences. She serves as co-faculty advisor for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Open School Chapter at UIC and is an Honors College Fellow. Dr. Wescott is a pediatric occupational therapist with experience developing and evaluating community-based programming as well as in clinical practice within the home, school, community, and clinic settings.

Jennifer served as Therapeutic Programming Coordinator at GiGi's Playhouse Chicago from 2016-2018 and is currently an Associate Board Member for the Neighborhood Boys and Girl's Club (NBGC).
