Abstract
Researchers at UIC are conducting a study to learn more about the differences between cognition, physical activity, and vascular parameters among colorectal cancer survivors and controls.
This study may be a good fit for you if:
- You are older than 18-years old
- You are able to speak, read, and write English
- You have had a colon or rectal cancer diagnosis (Stage I-III) and have completed treatment for your cancer (e.g., surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy) in the past 6-24-months.
If you decide to take part in the research study, you would:
- Come to UIC for one data collection session and 7-days of physical activity monitoring at home.
- Complete cognitive function assessments.
- Complete a whole-body scan.
- Complete a vascular parameters assessment.
- Complete one physical function assessment.
- Complete questionnaires related to health history, symptoms, diet, and physical activity.
- Receive an accelerometer to wear for 7-days following the in-person session, along with receiving a pre-paid envelope to mail it back to UIC.
Participant will receive compensation for their time and will receive free parking during the data collection session. To learn more about this research: please contact the Co-Investigator, Sydney DeJonge at canvas@uic.edu or (312) 996-9607.
