About
Dr. Rrita Zejnullahi develops and applies statistical methods to support evidence-based policy and decision-making in public health and social policy. This work includes: (1) extensions of meta-analysis methods to settings with small numbers of studies; (2) the development of effect sizes and effect-size estimators for randomized and quasi-experimental studies that adjust for covariates; and (3) the development and application of statistical methods to support research involving refugee populations. Her interdisciplinary collaborations span a range of substantive areas, including human rights statistics, sports epidemiology, mobility among older adults and individuals with neurological disorders, lifestyle interventions that promote mental health, and the physiological mechanisms governing skeletal muscle blood flow during physical activity.
