Dr. Yeasir Alve joined the TaylorLab as a postdoctoral research fellow in January, 2021 after having completed his Ph.D. in Occupational Therapy at Tokyo Metropolitan University in Japan. At Tokyo Metro, Dr. Alve conducted qualitative studies of Bangladeshi spinal cord injuries and refugees. While at UIC, Dr. Alve oversees continued research and development within the Model of Human Occupation and Intentional Relationship Clearinghouse. Dr. Alve is coordinating a new Post-Covid immunological research study under the supervision of Dr. Renée Taylor. Moreover, Dr. Alve has been enjoying teaching AHS 200: Intro Integrated Health since Fall 2021 and AHS 396: Independent Study since Spring 2024.
