About

Dr. Yeasir Alve joined the TaylorLab as a postdoctoral research fellow in January, 2021 after having completed his Ph.D. in Occupational Therapy at Tokyo Metropolitan University in Japan. At Tokyo Metro, Dr. Alve conducted qualitative studies of Bangladeshi spinal cord injuries and refugees. While at UIC, Dr. Alve oversees continued research and development within the Model of Human Occupation and Intentional Relationship Clearinghouse. Dr. Alve has co-authored two chapters from the upcoming 6th edition of Kielhofner’s Model of Human Occupation book and 3rd edition of Kielhofner's Research in Occupational Therapy book. Also, he is coordinating a new Post-Covid ​immunological research study under the supervision of Dr. Renée Taylor. Moreover, Dr. Alve has been enjoying teaching AHS 200: Intro Integrated Health since Fall 2021.
