About

Toni Van Denend, OTD, OTR/L is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago, Department of Occupational Therapy. She has clinical experience working in the skilled nursing facility and home health settings. She has also worked on several research projects related to multiple sclerosis (MS), including work on aging with MS, fall prevention and fatigue management. She contributes to the Professional Development and Leadership entry-level OTD course series, as well as to two undergraduate course offerings, Introduction to Occupational Therapy and Promoting Wellbeing. She plans to continue to support the development of evidence-based, ethically minded, and reflective practitioners. She also has an interest in supporting both student and provider wellbeing. She received her OTD and M.S. in occupational therapy (2019 and 2003, respectively) from the University of Illinois Chicago and her B.S. in Health Education from Illinois State University in 1999.
