About
Dr. Grenita Hall is a clinical associate professor and the director of the Healthy Living Clinic in the Department of Physical Therapy’s Faculty Practice. Dr. Hall is a practitioner dedicated to community engagement and anti-racist scholarship and research. She received her BS, MS, and PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
With 30 years of experience in dance performance, education, fitness and wellness industries, Dr. Hall collaborates with stakeholders to implement culturally centered interventions that inspire healthy living action at local and national levels. Her current research focuses on racial inequalities in healthcare, the physiological and psychosocial burden of racism-related stress, and physical activity practices of under-resourced communities and racialized populations.
