About

Casey Herman's research focuses primarily on the inclusion of people with disabilities in community-based health promotion programming. She has worked with the National Center on Health, Physical Activity and Disability (NCHPAD) since 2018, focusing on implementation of evidence-based health programming in community settings through NCHPAD’s inclusive Community Implementation Process. Through this work, she continues to support collaborations between researchers, community stakeholders, and national organizations. Her research interests include implementation of disability inclusive evidence-based lifestyle interventions to improve health and quality of life of people with disabilities, community engagement in research, and supporting inclusion of people with disabilities in community-based programming promoting physical activity, nutrition, and healthy lifestyles.
