About
Julie Kong brings over 30 years of research and research administration to the Office for Research in the College of Applied Health Sciences. After she obtained her master's degree in education, she taught in the Nutrition Department for six years. Her previous research experiences outside of UIC include being a clinical research coordinator and research operations manager. Upon returning to UIC, she was the Administrative Director for the Cancer Center which was followed by her position as Director of Research Services at the School of Public Health for 20 years. Most recently, she was the Associate Director of Translational Research Endeavors at the Center for Translational Clinical Science.
