About

Before joining the HIM program, Jonathan was a biomedical and health informatics research professional with experience leading and managing NIH-funded, industry-sponsored, and investigator-initiated clinical research.  He has served as a principal investigator, project manager, and research coordinator across multiple clinical research studies at UIC. His research interests include digital health, text messaging interventions, clinical trials methodology, patient-centered outcomes research, and chronic disease management. He is currently in the final phase of completing a Ph.D. (ABD) in Biomedical and Health Informatics at UIC, where his dissertation focuses on developing and evaluating a tailored text messaging intervention to improve self-care among patients with heart failure.
